As a woman in my 60s, my life has been rich with a wide range of experiences. From incredible adventures like buying a one-way ticket to Cairo at the age of 23 and exploring the world—because, why not? To being the proud mother of a 26-year-old daughter who is currently living overseas and successfully making her own way in the world, fulfilling her sense of adventure and realizing her own dreams.
I am also the proud mother of a 6-year-old Newfoundland named Luna Bear, who truly lives up to her name! My happy place is my urban tropical garden, lovingly tended and nurtured for many years, which provides abundant solace and clarity of thought when needed.
Like most of us, I've had my fair share of successes and losses. And it is these experiences that have shaped who I am today and have been integral to the path I've chosen and the myriad lessons I've learned along the way.
With over 40 years of experience in the Australian Film, Television, and Media Industry in various capacities, I began to question my own true purpose, and as I approached what is often called ‘our third act of life’, I realized I wanted to rewrite this chapter in the story of my own life and move forward with a renewed connection to me - Whoever ‘me’ was!!
I realised my ‘Third Act’ needed a complete re-write and I actually had no clue where to start!!
I've always felt a deep desire to make a difference in people's lives, using my own experiences to connect deeply and support others in their journeys of reconnection. I was sure of that, but how to put that into practice eluded me.
Partway through a Psychology degree, I discovered the world of coaching, and the connection was instant. Coaching resonated with me completely—the journey from where we are to where we want to be, the magic of deep listening, and powerful questioning captivated me. Since then, I've been on a quest to learn and experience as much of the process as I can. And I have happily discovered this will be a lifelong journey!
I am deeply committed to women's stories and helping women find their storytelling voices in whatever creative form that entails.
I aim to empower mature age women reconnect with their voices as they transition into their elder years, leading purposeful lives on their own terms, irrespective of age.
I strive to cast off the shackles of societal ageism and encourage women to OWN THEIR AGE, their stories, and their experiences—these are in fact our superpowers.
Feeling proud and confident, re-connecting with our curiosity, sense of adventure and coming into our own—this is the work that lights me up. It is a privilege to work with like-minded mature women on a quest to reclaim their power and story!
